Thousands of people believe these legends and tremble in the darkness for the legends. Undoubtedly, these legends offered material for the formation of vampire superstitions.(迷信) What is Vampire? Vampire is an old and mysterious monster, who has no heartbeat, no pulse, no breathing and no temperature. They live forever. In addition they can do what human do but they are stronger than human. Moreover, they have psionic（灵能） power that human can’t get. In order to survive, they must slurp blood. Blood to them is what bread to human. So they always kill human or animals to get blood. They are afraid of sunshine very much and are apart from several races. It is like the ghosts in ancient china but a little different from the ones in the myth of china. The earliest image of the vampire is difficult to be determined, but generally speaking mainly contains the following two points. the one is Cain,who was cursed by God for killing his brothers while the other is Judas who betrayed Jesus(耶稣).In fact ,there is no word of “vampire”in the modern sense before 18th century . There are many versions about the origin of the vampire.
