The United States Embassy of Bosnia-Herzegovina is pleased to announce that Bosnia and Herzegovina has been selected by the U.S. Departments of Defense and State to nominate up to six (6) candidates to compete for admission to the U.S. Service Academies (both the United States Military Academy at West Point and the United States Air Force Academy) as part of the Class of 2019, which begins initial training 29 June 2015. 1. Standard Entrance Requirements: a. Age: Candidates must be at least 17 and not yet 23 years of age on 1 July 2015 b. Marital Status: A candidate must not be married, pregnant, or have a legal obligation to support a child or children. c. General Academic Qualifications: Candidates must have completed prior to admission academic work at U.S. high school senior level or higher with the emphasis on English language skills and high school Mathematics in Algebra, Plane Geometry, Trigonometry and Pre-Calculus. d. Standard Academic Test Required: 1) All candidates must complete either the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) as part of their application by the application deadline. Test scores should be sent directly to the Service Academies utilizing the SAT Code and TOEFL code on the registration form.
