TOM Internet profit grows 55%
Hong Kong, 18 August 2008 --TOM Group Limited (HKEx: 2383; “TOM Group”, “The Group” or
“TOM”), the Chinese-language media corporation in Greater China, today announced its interim
results for the six months ended 30 June 2008.
Ken Yeung, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of the Group said, “The overall global
economy was overshadowed by uncertainties in the first half of 2008. In the Mainland, amid the
successive outbreak of natural disasters and regulatory measure on selective industries, corporations
were inevitably facing a more challenging operating environment. Nevertheless, the Group remained
focus on optimising the platform infrastructure to enhance operational efficiency while making
strategic investments and launching innovative products and services. All these efforts have
contributed to the steady business performance during the reporting period.
“Building up on TOM’s diversified and unique media platform, we are focusing to enhance value of
our assets. With our global perspectives, local operation excellence and open platform, TOM, joining
hands with local and international partners, is bringing the latest technology and products to its users.
