Letters of resignation are usually concise and written in a formal tone, usually prepared and handed to the employer at least two weeks before the employee terminates their job with the place of work. A letter of resignation is usually around one page long and the employee details many important points emphasized in the letter. 2. How to resign from your current position? If you want to resign from your present position with dignity and leave a favorable imprint on them, you have to follow the steps: a) prepare your letter of resignation on quality letter by using a formal layout with correct grammar and wording; b) type your letter on a computer as handwritten letters are not as professional; c) mention the benefits and knowledge that you have acquired with this employment; d) end your letter with a word of encouragement and best wishes for the company’s future progress; e) deliver your letter in person and dress as if it was your first interview; f) keep your attitude and your actions positive and without prejudice when speaking with your supervisor; g) continue to work your remaining days with the best interest of the company in mind and to the best of your ability. 3.
