However, there is no general model. Taking Hangzhou Quanye Li as an example, this article explores the methods and processes meeting with the Chinese current situation. Based on the site survey, the project analyzes the development mode, planning method, and architecture designing ideas of the construction and renovation in Quanye Li old residential area from the angles of sociology and typology. Finally, it suggests to exploiting apartments for the elderly and residential districts for both oldsters and youngsters, as well as continuing traditional settlement texture and keeping live traditional spatial sense in the planning and architecture design.
