Author: Frost’s personal life was plagued with grief and loss. In 1885 When he was 11,his father died of tuberculosis, leaving the family with just 8 dollars. His mother died of cancer in1900. In 1920,his younger sister Jeanie was sent to a mental hospital, where she died 9 years later. About the author Mental illness apparently ran in Frost’s family, as both he and his mother suffered from depression, and his daughter Irma was committed to a mental hospital in1947. Although his life is not a catastrophic disaster, but his early life is poor. Success is not easy for him in writing. So the author has a deep feeling of the ‘coldness ’and ‘hotness’ of the world.
