This character can supply a great QoS support for users, which has a great meaning in the development of broadband wireless access network. In this paper, the QoS service model of 802. 16 protocol and different kinds of available scheduling algorithm are discussed, and then a new QoS scheduling architecture is proposed for MAC layer of 802. 16 protocol.
