Composite oundation w ith rigid- lex ible piles is classi ied into strip oundation , ra t oundation and inde pendently oundation , the di erent design theories such as bearing capacity, de ormation are discussed . Speci ic design procedure is put orward on the basis o engineering practice and the computer simulation result . The paper proposes some suggestions about design optimization or the composite oundation w ith rigid - lexible piles. According to preceding the ory, the author designs a optimizing project , the result shows that composite oundation with rigid- lexible piles can make rational use o the potentiality o rigid piles, lexible piles and soil bearing capacity, so there w ill be remarkable e conomic bene its.
