Unit 1　How do you study for a test? Reading 教学目标 1．掌握本课的生词与短语。 2．懂得处理问题的三种方式。 教学重点 学会并掌握本课一些重点词汇与短语的用法。 教学难点 在阅读中， 学会运用词典等工具书， 提高阅读能力。 教学过程 Step 1：Lead in 1．Revision 让学生分组讨论学习英语的最好方法。可用句型“—How do you...？—I...by＋v.-ing...”或“I think the best way to learn English is...because...”等。 2．Lead-in 让学生提出自己学英语的困难， 小组讨论解决的方法， 由此导入生活中的困难及解决方法。 Step 2：Before reading 1．让学生在阅读本短文前熟悉有关生词， 掌握它们的含义及词性等。 2．用“Have you ever heard of Stephen Hawking？Look at the photo of Stephen Hawking and talk about him.”导入话题。 让学生将图画内容用简单的英语表示出来。如：Stephen Hawking is one of the famous scientists.He is disabled, but he never gives up studying... 然后简要介绍史蒂芬·霍金的成就。 Step 3：While reading 1．让学生读短文掌握文章的主旨大意， 回答问题“What do you think the text is about？”教师可帮助学生回答：“The reading is about some ways of dealing with our problems.” 2．让学生带着问题“How many ways of dealing with our problems are mentioned in the text？What are they？”再次阅读短文， 并完成下面的表格。 Bad effects of our problems on us 1.We can become ____ easily. 2．Worrying about our problems can effect how we do at school and ______. Ways of dealing with our problems 3.____________. 4．____________. 5．____________. 3.让学生第三次阅读：总结本文中的重点词汇与短语， 并说出重难点句子， 老师作必要的解析。如： 词汇与短语：unless, influence, deal with, unfair, stay angry, be lost, regard...as... 重难点句型：Time goes by.../As young adults, it is our duty to... Step 4：After reading 完成Section 3 中的3a, 3b, 3c。 1．注意英语词汇中的一词多义现象。引导学生使用英语词典。 2．让学生运用3b中的词汇造句。 3．让学生快速阅读短文， 并完成3c。 Step 5：Homework(Section 4) 再次阅读短文， 说出你认为处理问题的最好的方法， 想出解决问题的另一种方法， 并用英语表达出来。
