Test showed that tailing mixed sand, as concrete fi ne aggregate, may increase water demand of fresh concrete. But through introducing superplasticizer to maintain water demand consistent, slump of concrete mixing materials can reach (180+20) mm, which may obtain the same workability as concrete with natural medium sand. For C30 concrete prepared with tailing mixed sand that the mass ratio of tailing sand and fi ne sand was 7:3the strength at 28 d can increase by 8.7% than that in natural medium sand concrete. The shrinkage of concrete prepared with tailing mixed sand may be more than that of natural medium sand concrete.
