For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. * A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them fell into a deep pit.（坑） When they saw how deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead. The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit with all their might.（力气） The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that they were as good as dead. （死路一条） 一群青蛙在穿越树林时，其中两只失足落入了一个深坑。大家看到这个坑的深度时，就对这两只青蛙说，他们只有死路一条了。但这两只青蛙并不理会同伴们的言谈，相反，他们使出浑身解数试图跳出这囹圄。青蛙们仍不停地劝告他们算了，并坚持说他们只有死路一条。 Finally, one of the frogs took heed of what the others frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down and died. The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowed of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. 最后，其中一只青蛙听从了大家的劝告，放弃了。于是，他掉下去死了；而另一只青蛙却还是竭尽全力地跳着，众青蛙又一次向他大声提醒，奉劝他别再做无谓的尝试了，安息吧！ He jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the other frogs said, “Didn’t you hear us?” The frog explained to them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the entire time. 谁知，他跳的更加卖力了，终于他跳了出来！当他出来以后，大伙问他：“你没有听到我们的话吗？”这只青蛙解释说，他是个聋子。他原以为大家一直在鼓励他呢！ This story tells us two lessons： ★ There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging word to someone who is down can lift him up and help him make it through the day. 这则故事有两个寓意： 福祸皆从口出，语言有决定人生死的力量。一句鼓励的话语能使情绪低落的人重新振作，帮助他们走出困境。 ★ A destructive word to someone who is down can be what it takes to kill him. 一句伤人的话语能要了一个情绪低落的人的性命。 Be careful of what you say. Speak life to those who cross your path. The power of words… it is sometimes hard to understand that an encouraging word can go such a long way. Anyone can speak words that tend to rob another of the spirit to continue in difficult times. Special is the individual who will take the time to encouraging another. 人们一定要思其所言！向每天经过你左右的人说积极向上的话。不可小看语言的力量。。。。。。有时，很难相信一个鼓励的字眼竟能起到如此大的作用！任何人都能说出夺去他人战胜困境的勇气和意志的话，而只有愿意花时间去鼓励别人的人才是最特别的。 *
