Teaching Content: Introduction--Vocabulary and Speaking
Teaching Aims and Demands:
Knowledge Aims :
1. Learn the new words of means of transport: bike/ bicycle, bus, train, tram (电车), motorbike, car, taxi/ cab, ferry, ship, boat, helicopter, plane, horse, camel, truck/ lorry(货车), tractor(拖拉机), cable car (缆车), rocket, spaceship
2.know more about differences of verb phrases:get on, get off, get into, get out(of), ride, drive, take off, land
Ability Aims: Train the students’ abilities of speaking.
Emotional Aims: To ask the students to learn to describe their travel experience.
Teaching importance and difficult points
1.Learn and master the words and phrases
2.The usage of the verb phrases: get on, get off, get into, get out(of), ride, drive, take off, land
3.Lead the students to talking in class actively.
Teaching methods: Task-based and communicative Approach , Problem solving ,Sharing personal experience, Make use of Multimedia etc.
Teaching aids:some pictures ,multimedia, blackboard ,computer etc.
Teaching Procedures:
Pre-task: lead-in
Step1: Ask the students some questions to lead in the topic—means of transport
Q1: How do you go to school every day ?
Q2:If you have a chance to visit a city, How will you travel there ?
Step2: Play a short video about the development and arise their interest.
Task-cycle:New words learning
Step1: Show the students some pictures, and teach them the words.
A. Teacher asks students to read the words and remember the words and their meanings
B. do exercise 1
C. check the answers
Step2: Summarize the words and teach them how to read these words. If necessary ,correct their pronounciation.
A. Teacher shows the verb phrases in chart 1 and asks students to read them.
B. Teacher asks students to match the verb phrases with the means of transport.
C. According the chart 1, teacher asks students to try to summarize the rules in groups.
Step3: Practice and master the usage of the verb phrases
