Lab: Replace the BI launch pad “Home tab” with a BI Workspace. Scenario Desired Output: It is to replace the default BI launch pad home page with a BI Workspace. Objectives In this lab, you will:  Use the Modules that expose external “My Inbox”, “My Alerts”, “My Applications“, etc.  Build BI workspace in 4.0 by using the above modules.  Define this new BI workspace as the default home tab when a user logs into BI launch pad. Time estimation: 10 minutes © SAP AG 2010 SAP BusinessObjects Page 1 Let’s get started! Create a new BI workspace: 1. Log on to the BI launch pad. The BI launch pad opens in the Home tab. 2. In the My Applications block at the right, choose the BI workspace icon. A new tab opens with the name New BI workspace. 3. Select the page layout for the new workspace as follows:: a. From the Layout dropdown list in the toolbar, choose Columns. b. Click twice on “Add Column” to turn the layout into 5 columns. 4. Customize the layout as follows: a. Adjust the width of the outer columns so they are narrower than the 3 middle columns. We will use them as side margins. b. Click the “BI Launch Pad Modules” icon in the Module Library toolbar. d.
