Tadros MISSION AND GOALS OF THE PCI JOURNAL The mission of the PCI JOURNAL is to publish regularly a journal for the dissemination of high quality, state-of-the-art technical papers, and product information on precast and prestressed concrete covering research, design, applications, and industry developments. The JOURNAL provides a highly recognized and timely medium for publication of technical papers and articles reporting on research and innovations in design, product development and fabrication methods, and the construction of precast and prestressed concrete structures. The JOURNAL also serves the following functions: • Provides an open forum for the discussion of papers and promotes the generation of new ideas. • Furnishes the PCI membership and the design profession with timely and authoritative technical information for the design and construction of precast and prestressed concrete structures. • Extends the knowledge of precast and prestressed concrete in engineering and architectural schools. • Communicates activities and programs of PCI and its membership. • Furnishes technical information to support PCI marketing programs and advertising literatur
