Taking this in the background , this paper gives a review and more importantly a summary on the formation , evolution and future trends of modern printmedia technologies over a large time span of the past thousands years. It also showcases and analyzes the situations of higher printing degree educations , specifically the disciplinary positioning of printmedia and graphic communication related programs in well known universities and institutes both home and abroad.
