Study on the Theory of Qi Functional Activity in the Six Channels of Chen Xiu-yuan ABSTRACT The theory of Qi functional activity in the Six Channels of Chen Xiu-yuan refered to the theory of Qi functional activity and the pattern of correspondence between nature and human in the Yellow Enperors Internal Classic, learned the advanced concepts from past scholars, formed his own theroy. Subject: This thesis studied on the theory of Qi functional activity in the Six Channels of Chen Xiu-yuan. The monographic discussion on his theory hasnt been studied by the contemporary scholars. Therefore, the theatrical value and the clinical instructional significance of the theory needed to be urgently explored and studied. Consequently, the thesis deeply studied Chen Xiu-yuans theory, expected to guide better treatment. Methods: This study worked on the literature, arranged academic origin and development of the theory of Qi functional activity in the Six Channels, explained concrete contents, analysised the achievements studied on the theroy of Zhongjing by Chen Xiu-yuan. Results: In Chen Xiu-yuans theroy, the theories of the incidental, fundamental and mediate in the theory of Qi functional activity of the Six Channels was used to explain the Six Channels and the syndrome, etiology, pathogenesis of Six Channels. Moreover, constitutionally influenced transformation relationship in the theories of the incidental, fundamental and mediate was applied in the Treatise on Cold-induced Febrile Diseases.
