* Diamond V’s fermented yeast cultures are more like these fermented food products than they are yeast cell products. It is the unique, proprietary fermentation process we use that makes it different and much more effective than yeast cells alone. Yeast fermentation is what adds nutritional metabolites to the animal feeds, not simply adding yeast cells. Fermentation Makes the Difference. * * * Although the model was developed for yeast culture research, DV RAMM can be used for many other purposes ranging from evaluation of manufacturing processes to quality control, from new product development to mode of action research, and from feed additive evaluation to other rumen research. * fermentation characteristics we found diverse substrates supporting 6A and 25A growth , here some of them, including pectin and xylan which support abundant growing of these microbes. * XP filtrate was added at 2 concentrations. It is known that XP contains residual starch and a small amount of live yeast cells. These factors do not have an effect in the animal, but when added to a small volume test tube, a able to bias the results in favor of XP. To reduce this potential effect researchers mixed XP in water and extracted the water soluble fraction. It was assumed that the water solution contained most of the metabolites and little live yeast or carbohydrates. Results showed that all 4 bacteria strains were positively affected compared to the control with the addition of the XP filtrate. Increasing lactate utilizing bacteria helps maintain a more efficient rumen fermentation by controlling pH.
