Disadvantage: no information on the anomeric configuration or sequence of mono saccharides in an oligosaccharide 13CNMR, modern method for structural elucidation of carbohydrate Advantage: purity; recovered sample; provide complete structural determination. Disadvantage: poor sensitivity.
