As he is running with the bag on his back, he comes to a small river. 一天，小马驮着一袋小麦到磨坊，他驮着袋子飞快的往磨坊跑，这时一条小河拦住了他的去路。 The little horse can not decide whether he could cross it. Looking around, he sees a cow eating the grass nearby. 小马不能判断能否过得了去，他往四周看了看，发现一头老牛在河边吃草。 He asks, Uncle Cow, could you tell me if I can cross the river? the cow tells him that he can and that the river is not very deep, just to his knees.他问道：“牛叔叔，你能告诉我，我能过得了河吗？”老牛告诉他能行，并且河水并不深，刚到他的膝盖。 The little horse is crossing the river when a squirrel jumps down a tree and stops him. 小马正要过河，一只松鼠从树上跳下来，拦住了他。 The squirrel shouted, little horse, stop!
