In petroleum refining and petrochemical industries, it is mainly used for storage and transportation of liquid or gaseous materials. Operating temperature is generally -50 ~ 50 degrees, the operating pressure is generally below 3MPa. Compared with a cylindrical container (i.e. a general storage tank), the shell thickness of the spherical tank is only half of that of the cylindrical container, the amount of the steel is saved, and the occupation of the shell is small, and the foundation engineering is simple. But the manufacture, welding and assembly of the spherical tank are very strict. The inspection workload is heavy and the manufacturing cost is high. The spherical tank is spherical large capacity, the pressure of the storage containers, are widely used in petroleum, chemical, metallurgy and other departments, it can be used as storage containers for liquefied petroleum gas, liquefied natural gas, liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, liquid ammonia and other media. Can also be used as compressed air (air, oxygen, nitrogen, urban gas) tank.
