Management comprises planning, organizing, leading or directing, and controlling an organization or effort for the purpose of accomplishing a goal. Management in business and human organization activity is the act of getting people together to accomplish desired goals. In management, the deployment(部署;调度)and manipulation(操作)of human resources, financial resources, technological resources, and natural resources are of great significance. 1. What is management? Good business management is the key to success and good management starts with setting goals. You have to set goals for the accomplishment of the many tasks necessary and you need to be specific and break major goals down into sub-goals and place a specific date showing when it is to be achieved. Meanwhile, work your plan of action to allow for obstacles which may stand in your way and try to foresee obstacles and plan ways to avert (防止;避免) or minimize them. 2. What are the basic rules in business management? The basic rules in business management are: a) plan your goals and allow plenty of time to complete each step of your project; b) pick your team carefully and assign them the tasks needed to complete the project on time; c) fix problems when they occur and getting them solved; d) treating your employees as if they have their own ideas, tell them what you want and let them figure out推测;解决;领会到how to do it rather than tell them what to do; 2.
