(eg. success) 渴望……，很想…… be eager to do sth. 渴望做某事 be eager that clause 表示“渴望……”的短语 be eager for / be hungry for be thirsty for / be dying for hunger for / starve for depend on依靠；依赖 He depends on his parents to take care of the children. ①他依靠父母照顾孩子。 Children depend on their parents for food and clothing. ②孩子们依靠父母供给衣食。 You may depend on her arriving on time. ③你可以相信她会准时到来。 You may depend on it that she will help you. ④你可以相信她会帮助你的。 That depends./It all depends.
