I like this one best among these. 在这些中，我最喜欢这个。 between和among 1) between一般指“两者之间”， 例如：①Between the door and the windows there is a map.门和窗户的中间有一张地图。 ②Whats the difference between the two words? 这两个词之间有什么区别？ 2) among 指三者或三者以上的同类事物之间，在或笼统的一群人或一些物之中，表示“在……中间，在……之中”。如：③The young people lived and worked among the workers.那些年青人生活、工作在工人之中。 ④They divided the money among(或 between) themselves.他们自己把钱分了。(注：用among，they至少是三个人；用between, they是两个人。) 【注意】我们可以说between you and me，但不能说 between you and I，因为between是介词。 3) between还可以用来指三个或三个以上的人或物的每两个之间。三个或三个以上的名词用and连接，前面用between，而不用among。如：There does not seem much difference between the three of them. 这三者之间似乎没有很大的区别。 4) among可用来表示一个比较的范围，常与最高级连用。如：Shanghai is among (= one of) the largest seaports in the Far East. 横滨为远东最大港口之一。 5.hill 小山 mountain 大山，高山 6.another （不定数量的）另一个 eg:I don’t like this book,give me another. 我不喜欢这本书，给我另一本。 （不定数量中的任意一本） 比较： the other （两者中的）另一个 eg：I have two books, one is a Chinese book, the other is an English book. 我有两本书，一本是语文书，一本是英语书。（两者中的另一个） 7.wife 妻子 复数：wives 丈夫：husband 8.along 沿着 walk along the street 沿着大街走 9.bank 河岸/银行 the banks of the river 河岸 10.water 水（不可数名词） drink some water 喝点水 动词，浇水 water the flowers 浇花 11.swim 游泳 进行时：swimming go swimming 去游泳 swimming pool 游泳池 12.building 大楼，建筑物 build-built(过去式) office building 办公大楼
