Back;Focus1 content;focus1starter;focus1starter;2. Selling vases ;2. ;2. ;2. Selling vases ;Back;Back;Back;Back;Back;3. Selling coats ;3. Selling coats ; Notes
1. It’s neither too heavy nor too light.
neither…nor…
e.g. She likes neither butter nor cheese.(连接名词)
She is neither clever nor hard-working.(连接形容词)
e.g. Neither her parents nor she is at home today.(连接代词)
both...and... ;2. I’d rather have something darker, and a bit heavier.
其否定形式是would rather not do sth.。would
e.g. Mr. Li would rather not listen to rock music.
等意思时,则可用would rather…than…或would…rather than
e.g. I would rather watch TV at home than go to the
cinema. “would rather+不带to的不定式”有时可代替“would
e.g. I’d rather fly than go by sea. = I’d
prefer to fly. ;3. It’s of good quality and very soft.
*quality n.
e.g. I really must complain about the quality of the goods that you
recently sent us.
People are convinced of the good quality of famous brand food.
相关短语:quality control 质量监控;
quality of life 生活质量;4. It’s a lovely dress and very smart.
*smart a.
e.g. She looked very attractive in that smart blue skirt.
He looks so smart in that suit! The tailor makes the man.
Why don’t you fix it if you’re so smart? ;5. It’s in fashion now.
*fashion n.
e.g. Long skirts have come into fash
