Lesson 89 For sale;Words and expressions;★ believe [bili:v] v. 相信，认为 believe sb 相信某人的话 I don’t believe you. 我不相信你说的话。 ;believe in sb. 信任某人 We believe in each other. 我们互相信任。 Believe it or not.(口语) 信不信由你。;★ may [mei] （情态动词）可以 （1）may表示许可或征求对方的许可， 有“可以”的意思。 You may go now. 你可以走了。 May I use your computer? 我用一下你的电脑可以吗？ ;（2）回答以 may 开头的疑问句 有如下表达法： May I smoke here? 我可以在这儿抽烟吗？ Yes, you may. / Yes, please. 请抽吧。 May I smoke here? No, you mustnt. / No, youd better not. 请不要抽烟;（3）may表示猜测，通常只用于陈述句 You may be right. 你可能是对的。 He may be rich but he is not refined. 他或许是富有, 但是不高雅。 ;★ how long 多长 1. 表示多长时间，主要用来对一段时间(如three days, four weeks 等)提问 How long did he stay here? 他在这儿呆了多久? How long does it take to get to London from here? 从这里到伦敦要多长时间? ;★ how long 多长 2. 表示某东西有多长。 How long is the river? 这条河有多长？ About 500 km. 大约500千米。 ;2015/4/15;4/15/2015; ★ sell [sel] v. 卖，出售 I sold my car to him. 我把我的车卖给了他。 We want to sell you software. 我们想向你们出售软件。 ;for sale 待售 on sale 打折 salesman 推销员 sales manager 销售经理;★ because [bik?z] conj. 因为 I study because I want to learn. Because I have a cold today. ;★ cost [k?st] v. 花费 （物体做主语） The coat costs $30. 这件外套30美元 How much does this house cost?; ★ spend,take,cost和pay的区别 take spend cost pay的用法都可以表示“花费” take 一般用it做主语， It take sb sometime to do sth. spend 一般是人做主语， I spend an hour to finish my homework. cost表示某物值什么的（价值或钱） The bool cost 200 yuan. pay一般是人做主语， I pay an hour to do my homework. ; ★ spend,take,cost和pay的区别 cost的主语是是物(某物花费了多少) (1)sth. costs (sb.) ＋金钱, 某物花了某人多少钱。 A new computer costs a lot of money. (2) (doing) sth. costs (sb.) ＋时间, 某物做某事花了某人多少时间。 Remembering these new words cost him a lot of time. ; spend的主语是人 （某人花费了多少）
