Grade 6 Day 2 8:30--9:15 Step1 Lead in Watch a video to lead in ------It’s Halloween QA: Do you know the Halloween?(when?/common sense--ppt) Are you afraid of ghost or monster? 8min Step2 Learn new words Explain and read the new words.(combine with pictures and pay more attention to the pronunciation) 2.Match pictures with words. 3.Make sentences(具体形式?) (Like:who is in the living room, flying around on a broom(扫把).---witch;Along comes who and freaks her out---using picture to guide students; 20min Step3 Game (Gain score) All the students will be divided into 5 groups. First, every group picks up 2 students to take part in the game, then the teacher gives 10 students different words on paper. The first student says “spider down, spider down, spider down to witch down...” If the called student cannot quickly react it, then he outs. Finally the last two or three left students win and his group gain the point. Then another 10 students continue the game. 12min Step4 Review Review words we have learned to reinforce students’ memory 5min Words: ancestor spirit(灵魂) grave (combine with pictures to make a short story,like: An ancestor became a spirit coming from a grave.)
