Ss read the dialogue themselves, find out the new words in the dialogue.
Steps 2
Ss read the dialogue together. then teach the words:
appointment except station
a: What time is it now?= What ‘s the time ?= What time is it by your watch?
b: 6:55 five to seven 7:10 ten past seven
c: appointment n. keep / break one’s appointment 守约/ 违约
eg: We must keep our appointment.
make an appointment with sb. 和某人约会
eg: He made an appointment with his girlfriend.
d: You had better +V(原 ) eg: You had better do the things at once.
You had better +not +v (原 ) eg: You had better not play in the street.
e: hurry up eg: Hurry up! Or we will be late for class.
hurry off to do sth. eg: They hurried off to have dinner.
in a hurry eg: They entered the classroom in a hurry.
in no hurry eg: He walked to the bus in no hurry.
f: be angry with sb. eg: His boss was angry with him.
g: expect sb. to do sth. eg: Your parents except you to study hard.

Ss read dialogue again to revise the knowledge.

Ss do the exercise on P42--43. then check the answers orally in class.
