大学体验英语一周一练1 听力原文

Unit 1 College Life Part III. Listening Comprehension Section A Directions: In this section, you will hear 8 short conversations and 2 long conversations. At the end of each conversation, one or more questions will be asked about what was said. Both the conversations and the questions will be spoken only once. After each question there will be a pause. During the pause, you must read the four choices marked A), B), C) and D), and decide which is the best answer. Then write the corresponding letter on Answer Sheet II. 11. M: I’ve been trying every bookstore in town for a copy of the chemistry textbook. The school’s bookstore ran out for quite some time. W: Have you tried the one near the Sam’s? I heard they still have a few copies left. Q: What does the woman suggest the man do? 12. M: I paid 50 dollars for these books at the Eaglewood Bookstore. They’re really too expensive. W: Too expensive? They cost a lot more in other bookstores. Q: What does the woman mean? 13. W: Look, it says they want a junior sales manager, and it looks like it’s a big company. That’d be good. You might get to travel. M: Do they say anything about experience? Q: What are they talking about? 14. W: Could you post this parcel for me when you go out for lunch? M: I wish I could, but there’s always a very long queue during lunch time. Q: What does the man mean? 15. M: Hey, you should be doing your art class now. Why are you here? W: I realized I have no talent for drawing. Drama is a better alternative than those brushes. Q: What does the woman mean? 16. W: Professor Johnston has been very busy this month. I’ve heard that he stays up very late every night. M: If I had known this I wouldn’t have troubled him so much. Q: What do we learn from the conversation? 17. W: One of the members of the dormitory council is quitting. Do you know of anyone who would be interested in taking her place? M: I’m not sure. But I’ll certainly keep an eye out for you. Q: What will the man probably do?
