Consider- ing many kinds of different load operation conditions and fault 。 conditions, the mathematical model has been established in ,。 which the sum of yearly active power loss fee and minimized investment in new addition of V R equipment divided into 1 SVC each year is used as the objective function The conjugate. - gradient method of non linear programming is used in the al- gorithm and makes the algorithm have a good convergence. The result of example systems approves that the method is   SVC( TCR) feasible in technique and has obvious economic benefits.
