Install input gas chokes and intermitters to control gas injection volumes. On multiple completions, consider string-to-string gas injection. If deep intermittent GL needed, consider plunger lift. Submersible and Hydraulic Lift If sucker rod lift not practical, convert to submersible or hydraulic lift. Install a large cable. Install phase balancing equipment where open-delta power is used to prevent over-heating motor failure. Provide proper surge and lightning protection. Install electrical single-phase protection. Engines Install fuel injection systems on slow speed, 2-cycle gas engines where sufficient gas pressure is available. Design slow speed, 2-cycle engines for a BMEP of 56-59 and maximum piston speed of 960 fpm. Design high speed engines for a BMEP of 70-80 psi and maximum piston speed of 1200 fpm. Compressors Install variable clearance pockets to allow engine to operate close to the design BMEP. Use computer programs, design charts, etc., to insure designs meet the application and specify operating ranges to field personnel. Improve efficiency with cylinder changes and v
