T he change of structure before and after tensile test, especially the change of retained austenite, w ere studied w ith scanning electron microscope ( SEM) , X-ray diffrac- tion ( XRD) , electron back-scattered diffraction ( EBSD) and transmission electron microscope (TEM) . The results show that the low-Si TRIP steel has good mechanical properties, no yield point and possess of low yield ratio, meantime it has better extensibility and homogeneous strain than DP steel. Retained austenite distribution also affects the stability of the low-Si T RIP steel, retained aus- tenite in ferrite grain still exists after the tensile test.
