Since 231 AD, tw enty earthquakes of a magnitude equal to or larger than 6 have occurred including one of M, = , five of M = 7 7. 9, and 14 of M = 6 6. 9. A ccording to the Chinese historical records these, earthquakes have induced a lot of landslides. T he coseismic landslides of Dingxiang( M = 7, in 103 ) , Hongdong ( M = , in 1303) and Linfen ( M = , in 1695) earthquakes are studied here. , 75% 5% .
