Design of surface lapping machine based on modern design methodology

Abstract: In view of the shortcomings of the exist ing surface lapping machines w ith big radius of gyration, such as the heavy
body and low efficiency , a new surface lapping machine w as designed based on modern design methodology. The blackbox
model of the surface lapping machine and the morphological matrix of the complete machines function are put forward. Accord
ing to the morphological matrix , the designed machine has multiposition and big radius of gyration. Finally, main lapping pa
rameters of the machine w ere discussed.
