Methods: wo hundred cases of computed radiographic films and 200 traditional X- ray radiographic films of newborn in fants were selected from our hospital to be analysed by 3 radiologists respectively. Results: With computed radiography, t he quality of t he films w as classified into grade A 52.5% , grade B 35.0% , grade C12.0% , and waste 0.5% ; with tradi tional X- ray radiography, the quality of the films w as classified into grade A41. 0% , grade B42.5% , grade C15.0% , and w aste 1.5% . Conclusion: he quality of computed radiography is better t han tradit ional X- ray radiography on bedside chest films of newborn infant , and it should be widely applied.
