It analyzed the present research situation of modern mechanical design. The intelligent optimizing design, computer aided industrial design (CAID), finite element analyzing method, the reliability design, mechanical statemonitoring technology, intelligent technology, data processing etcwere introduced in this paper.Their characteristicsand appliedprospects in agricultural equipment design were discussed,too.
