Abstract T he study sign ificance, reaction princ iple, m anufacturing process, env ironm enta l safety assess
m ent and app ly ing m ethod about m anufacturing a com pound fertilizer w ith K, C a, S,i M g and S elem ents by ca l
cing a m ixture of FGD residue and po tash o re w ere introduced and evaluated in th is paper. M eanwh ile, its app li
ca tion prospect w as also revealed. T he research results show ed that th is process is feasib le on theory comp lete ly.
The m anufactured fert ilizer u sing th is process conta ined 1034% ~ 120% K SO , 1906% ~ 322 8% CaO in

c itr ic acid, 1098% ~ 144 6% S iO2 in citric acid, 146% ~ 182% M gO in citric ac id. T he pH value in m an
u factured fertilizer decreased 960 from 1065 in the crude FGD residue. T he heavy m eta l concentrations in
