The First Aff iliated Hosp ital of Anhui College of Traditional Chinese Medicine ，Hef ei 230031，Anhui ，China) Abstract :Chaihu is a herb with bitter and pungent flavor and a nature of little cold ，which acts on the liver and gallbladder meridicans． By carding ancient literature of jaundice ，it is found the main effects of Chaihu are reconciling Shaoyang ，relaxing liv- er ，treating blood disorders ，relieving exterior syndrome and dispersing stagnation in treating jaundice． The pathogenesis of jaundice is also associated with stagnated liver qi ，obstructed channel qi of liver and gallbladder ，stagnated fire of liver and gallbladder and so on． So we should not ignore liver and gallbladder in syndroming differentiation and treatment of jaundice． Key words :jaundice ;Chaihu ;treatment ;hepatobiliary 、 ， ， 、 、 、 。 ， 。 柴胡味苦 辛 性微寒 归心包络 肝 三焦
