Abstract:Thesettlementsculturelandscapealwaysisoneoftheculturalgeographyresearchcorecontent.
Becausereceivestheinfluenceofthegeographicalenvironmentscomplexityandthenationalculturesmulti-
ple,Chinastraditionalsettlementslandscapedisplaystherichregionlandscapecharacteristic.
Thisarticlealsoconceives,throughdividingthesettlementslandscaperegions,furtherintroducesthe
geneatlasconceptofthebiology,developsthedeeplevelculturalgeneanalysistoeachregionsettlements
landscapecharacteristic.Finally,establishesthelandscapegeneatlaswhichreflectseachsettlementsland-
scaperegionevolutionaryprocessandtheinterdependence,bythisadvancetheculturegeographyaboutre-
gionlandscapegenesatlasexplorationresearch.
Themainminoritynationareaswheretheprimitivenationalcultureispreservedmore,assuchasYun-
nan,GuizhouandwesternHunanandsoon,seekingtheprimitivetotemisthemainwayofrecognizingthe
nationalculturegenes.InWaminoritynationarea,itslandscapegeneisthecattletotem.InDongnations
settlementlandscapegenes,thebirdtotemisthekeylandscapegene.Thisresearchtotheculturalgeogra-
phytheoryconstruction,hasthevitalscientificsignificance.
