Altair 2008 HyperWorks - 1 - Altair 2008 HyperWorks Topology Optimization of Fixture in Exhaust System Converter Vibration Test ( Altair HyperWorks Topology PSD Altair Abstract: Based on the Topology Module of Altair HyperWorks, the optimization of fixture in exhaust system converter vibration test was performed. Modal analysis, frequency response analysis and PSD random analysis were performed to check if the optimized model met the frequency and stiffness targets. This paper demonstrated that the Topology Module of Altair HyperWorks was a very effective tool in designing economic test fixture.
