Abs tract: Lightning disaster is one of the ten most serious naturaldisasters. Obtaining the rule of the spatial and
temporal distribution of lightning disaster is ofgreat social significance fordoingwell the lightningpreventionwork.
Based on the statistic analysis of the lightning disasters data from 2003 to 2008, this paper reveals the spatial and
temporal distribution of lightning disasters inHebeiProvince, and analyzes thepossible reasonsof lightning disaster
taking place, which gives a reference to lightning disasterprotection and reductionwork.
