Results showedthat,during the research period,thesecondarypoplar鄄birchforestwasattheintermediatesuccessionstage,andthedominantpopulationssuchasBetula platyphylla andPopulus davidianawereatthemoderatematurity stage,butthetwopopulationsshowedadecliningtrenddueto their poor regeneration. Some keystone species,such asPinus koraiensis,mainly existed in the form of saplings or seedlings. Thepopulation quantity of P. koraiensis continually expanded andthepopulation structure tended to be reasonable,which was advantageoustotherealization of directional successionfromsecondaryforest tobroad鄄leavedP. koraiensis forest.
