University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, 100049, China)Abstract:In recent years, the rapid development of urban-transportation infrastructure in China has caused a serious impact on the regional ecological function.?The continuous intensification and expansion of the urban-transportation network aggravate the fragmentation of the regional landscape and lead to the degradation of multiple landscape functions.?Based on GIS technology,this paper use the indicator of (Cross boundary effective mesh size) to assess the landscape fragmentation status due to urban-transportation network in Fujian province at the year of 2007. Furthermore, the spatial pattern of landscape fragmentation and its effect factors was analyzedin the method of spatial autocorrelation analysis.?The results show that the landscape fragmentation of Fujian province shows obvious spatial differences and autocorrelation.?The landscape fragmentation of the province presents the spatial distribution pattern of slightin North and West whileheavy in East and South.?The fragmentation of coastal areas and traffic arteries is significantly higher than other regions.The patches less than 300 km2 mainly concentrate in the southeast coast of Xiamen, Zhangzhou and Quanzhou Metropolitan Areas.?The spatial distribution of landscape fragmentation in Fujian province present a gradient pattern of West to East if it is calculated in metropolitan city.?While if take the county as report units, the results showed significant regional delegation pattern.
