The story In 1991 ，18-year-old criminal syndicate(黑社会）member Liu Jianming (Andy Lau 刘德华) listens to the Han Chen’s (Eric Tsang 曾志伟) instructions and go to the police academy, becoming the police undercover. While another student of the police, Chen Yongren (Tony Leung梁朝伟),is forced to be out of school ,but in fact， is to let him go to the criminal syndicate to become the undercover Jianming graduates from the police academy and later becomes a successful police .
