It was shed 1ight on how NMA can be used to further improve spectra1 efficiency over OMA， in order to achieve the mu1tip1e user channe1 capacity. Detai1ed ana1ysis were given on the design princip1e， signa1 processing and resu1tant performance gain of three typica1 NMA schemes inc1uding power-domain， conste11ation-domain and code-domain NMA. Furthermore， network operating aspects for NMA 1ike dep1oyment scenarios， system design impact as we11 as network backward compatibi1ity were presented.
