* * This article mainly tell us the environment about the cleanest place and the dirtiest place on earth by taking some examples. And the writer describes her experiences and feelings in Linfen and Cape Grim ,from them , she wants to tell us the importance of environment . Angela palmer Angela Palmer is a sculptor and installation artist. Born in Scotland and based in Oxford, she studied at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art in Oxford and the Royal College of Art in London. Palmer incorporates history, archaeology and the natural sciences in her artistic practice, creating works which speak of these disciplines in a direct manner but that also have a distinct and poetic visual appeal. A key work by the artist is?The Ghost Forest,?a group of 10 mighty rainforest tree stumps with their roots intact, which she brought from a logged virgin rainforest in Africa and exhibited them in Trafalgar Square, Copenhagen, Oxford and Wales. She also ‘maps’ the human body through CT and MRI scans; her glass sculpture of an Egyptian child mummy is in the permanent collection of the Ashmolean Museum. This desire to ‘map’ is at the core of Palmer’s work, whether it be the internal architecture of the human head or the physical geography of the planet. Peeling back the layers to expose the hidden natural world is a recurring theme, in this context she has enjoyed the opportunity ?to work with scientists in every conceivable discipline, from radiologists and botanists, to engineers specialising in bio-fluidics, to dust-mite and spider experts, veterinary scientists, paediatric dentists and specialists in ancient Egyptian dyes. Angela Palmer is currently exhibitingSearching for Goldilocks?at the Smithsonian’s?National Air and Space Museum in Washington. The artwork is part of a summer season that explores what space suits, aerospace-themed art and the search for planets capable of supporting life have in common. From 26 July?to?1 December,?three mini-exhibits exploring those topics
