The inform ation of the ecological environm ent of m in ing area is ob tained through remote sen sing and assessed by m ean s of GIS , m ain ly by carrying ou t the op eration s of sp atial overlapp ing, extraction, value a ssignm en t and buffer area on the basic data layers so a s to p roduce new sp atial char acters and new attribu te relation s.
