Abstract:ObjectiveNitrogen fertilizer application rate (N rate) has strong effects on the canopy structure in maize, which
might influence photosynthesis and the yield of maize. Proper N rate led to higher grain yield but little influence on photosynthesis in
summer maize. However, so far there are few reports have been found and no quantitative criteria can be used in evaluating canopy
