However, the progress in this field has not been able to keep pace with the development of solid devices and automated assembly equipment. The traditional ESD control is not very perfect, now a lot of assembly equipment per hour can be placed 4000 to 20000 design elements, if not properly considered, automatic equipment will produce large amounts of static electricity and cause damage to multiple devices in a short period of time. Materials, fasteners, installation method and reliable grounding technology is very important to choose the influence for the control of ESD, this paper will discuss how ESD is produced, the harm caused by its existence, and the methods to reduce the harm of ESD in the assembly process. What is ESD? In short, ESD is the fast charge of electricity, and the electronics industry spends billions of dollars on it every year. We know that all substances are made of atoms, electrons and protons in the atom. When a substance gains or loses electrons, it loses its electrical balance and becomes negatively charged or positively charged.
