理查德·罗杰斯（richard rogers） Richard Rogersrichaderogersrichard Rogers (Richard, George, Rogers, Baron, Rogers, of, Riverside, July 23, 1933 -) British architect. In 1933, he was born in Italy, Florence. Studied at the AA school in London, and then graduated from the Yale University in 1962. At Yale, he met his classmate Norman Foster, and the two returned to England to form a group of four, with members for their respective wives, Su, Rogers and Wendy Cheesman. They soon became famous for their high tech design. The 73 year old architect is the head of Richard Rogerss firm, which was founded in London 30 years ago. The jury praised his work as a fragment of contemporary architectural history. One of Rodgerss best-known works was his earliest work: the Paris George Pompidou center, designed by and Renzo Piano in 1977 (see chart two). Rodgers and Piano were partners at the time, winning the international competition in 1971. General Liz prize judges believe that Pompidou center shocking appearance: HVAC pipes, escalators and other originally placed in the core position of building service facilities decorate the museum design -- heap a revolution, the museums monumental essence in the shape of popular place for social and cultural exchanges like change. Another early work is Lloyds offices in London (see Figure three), completed in 1986, showing a similar inside out image and the combination of Rodgerss iconic expressionism style architecture. Rodgers was born in Italy, Florence, trained in the London Architectural Association and received a masters degree in architecture from Yale University. During that time, he met many architectural gurus, such as Dean Paul of the Architectural Institute, Rudolph, James, Stirling, and fellow student Norman Foster. After graduation with Norman Forster, he returned to England to open an office.
