From my experience as a psychologist and my social circle, I find that more women are not only having extramarital affairs, but are actively seeking extra marital affairs. The proportion of women who reported extramarital affairs rose from 11% in 1991 to 14% in 2010. The University of Indiana (Indiana University), the Kinsey Institute (Kinsey Institute) and the University of Guelph (University of Guelph) the gender gap in a 2011 study found little: 23% for men and 19% for women. The data suggest that differences in infidelity between the sexes tend to disappear, but we should look at the data carefully.
